Professional Vinyl Flooring Services in Singapore
Old, damaged, or worn-out floors make a space look tired and uninviting. Whether you are renovating your HDB flat, upgrading a condo unit, or refreshing a commercial space, the right flooring makes a real difference. Vinyl flooring installation in Singapore has become one of the most practical choices for homeowners and business owners who want a durable, good-looking result without the complexity of natural materials.
MH Construction provides professional vinyl flooring services in Singapore for residential and commercial properties. We help you choose the right flooring, prepare the surface properly, and install it cleanly – so the result lasts and looks the way it should.
How we works
Trusted Vinyl Flooring Contractor in Singapore
Choosing the right contractor matters more than choosing the right floor. A quality product installed poorly will still lift, gap, bubble, or crack within months. That is why we invest in trained, experienced installers who understand what proper subfloor preparation, correct adhesive selection, and tight installation technique actually look like in practice.
Our team works with a range of vinyl flooring systems – from click lock floating floors to glue down vinyl – and we know which method suits which surface, property type, and usage condition. Singapore’s humidity and temperature fluctuations affect how floors perform over time. We factor that into every job.
We give honest recommendations. If a property has subfloor issues that need fixing before installation, we say so upfront. If a product is not suited to a particular area, we tell you before installation rather than after. Every site visit includes a proper assessment, not a quick look and a quote.
Our installers are part of our own team, not outsourced day labour. That means we control the quality of every job and take full responsibility for the outcome. We are reachable after the project is done, which is not something every contractor can say.

OUR CORE SERVICES
Our Vinyl Flooring Services in Singapore
Vinyl Floor Installation
We install new vinyl flooring across all property types, using correct subfloor preparation and the right installation method for your specific surface. A proper install starts long before the first plank goes down.
Vinyl Floor Replacement
Replacing old flooring requires careful removal, subfloor inspection, and preparation before new material goes in. We handle the full process, including disposal of existing floor material.
Vinyl Floor Repair
Localised damage – a cracked tile, a lifting plank, or a section that has separated – does not always require a full replacement. We assess the affected area and carry out targeted vinyl floor repair where it makes sense.
Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) Flooring
Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) delivers a realistic stone or wood appearance with the practical benefits of vinyl. It is well-suited to areas where aesthetics matter as much as performance, including living rooms and commercial lobbies.
Vinyl Plank Flooring
Vinyl plank flooring replicates the look of timber with a wood grain finish, without the maintenance demands of real wood. It works well in residential spaces where warmth and character are important.
Vinyl Flooring Maintenance
We provide guidance on correct cleaning methods, suitable products, and how to protect your floor from premature wear. Proper maintenance keeps your vinyl flooring looking good well beyond the standard lifespan.
Common Vinyl Flooring Problems We Solve
Scratched and Damaged Vinyl Flooring
Surface scratches and gouges happen over time, especially in high-traffic areas. Depending on the wear layer thickness and extent of damage, we can repair individual sections or replace affected planks or tiles without disturbing the rest of the floor.
Loose or Lifting Vinyl Flooring
Lifting vinyl is usually caused by adhesive failure, moisture beneath the floor, or incorrect installation. We identify the root cause first. Relaying the floor without fixing the underlying issue will produce the same problem again.
Uneven Floor Surfaces
An uneven subfloor causes vinyl to flex, crack, or separate at the joints over time. We carry out floor leveling using appropriate compounds before installation to ensure a flat, stable base.
Water-Damaged Vinyl Flooring
Prolonged water exposure – from leaks, flooding, or condensation – can compromise the subfloor and cause the vinyl to warp or delaminate. We assess the damage below the surface, not just what is visible on top.
Worn or Faded Vinyl Flooring
High foot traffic wears through the protective wear layer over time, leaving the floor looking dull and discoloured. At a certain point, repair is not cost-effective. We help you assess whether repair or full vinyl flooring replacement in Singapore is the smarter option.
Gaps Between Vinyl Planks
Gaps between planks usually indicate moisture movement, subfloor shifting, or incorrect installation. We diagnose the cause and advise on the most appropriate fix, whether that is re-seating the planks or addressing the subfloor.
Vinyl Flooring for Different Properties
HDB Flats
HDB vinyl flooring needs to work within the practical constraints of apartment living – manageable noise levels, durability for family use, and materials that hold up in Singapore’s climate. We have experience working within HDB renovation guidelines.
Condominiums
Condo vinyl flooring projects often involve existing tile or parquet overlay work. We assess whether overlay installation is appropriate for your unit or whether full removal is the better approach for a long-term result.
Landed Homes
Larger floor areas in landed properties require careful planning for consistent appearance and seamless installation across multiple rooms. We work systematically to ensure uniform results throughout.
Offices
Office vinyl flooring needs to handle constant foot traffic, chair castors, and heavy equipment. We recommend appropriate products based on actual usage, not just aesthetics.
Retail Shops
Retail environments need flooring that looks good and takes punishment. We help retail clients choose surfaces that are slip resistant, easy to clean, and able to handle the demands of daily customer traffic.
Commercial Properties
For warehouses, F&B spaces, and other commercial settings, we select vinyl products suited to specific conditions – including anti-slip surfaces and moisture-resistant options where needed.
Benefits of Vinyl Flooring
Durable and Long-Lasting
Quality vinyl plank and SPC flooring with a robust wear layer holds up well under daily use. With proper installation and basic care, a well-chosen vinyl floor can last 15 to 20 years in residential conditions.
Water-Resistant Surface
Waterproof vinyl flooring does not absorb water, making it a practical choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and other wet areas. Unlike timber or laminate, it will not swell or warp from surface moisture exposure.
Easy to Clean and Maintain
Regular sweeping and occasional damp mopping is enough to keep vinyl floors in good condition. It does not require polishing, waxing, or specialist cleaning products, which makes it a genuinely low maintenance flooring option.
Comfortable Underfoot
Vinyl has a slight give compared to tile or stone, making it more comfortable to stand and walk on for extended periods. This matters in kitchens, retail environments, and office spaces where people are on their feet throughout the day.
Wide Range of Designs
Modern vinyl is available in a broad range of finishes – wood grain, stone effect, and contemporary patterns. Whether you prefer the warmth of timber or the clean look of concrete, there is a product that fits without the cost or complexity of natural materials.
How we works
Our Vinyl Flooring Installation Process

Site Inspection and Measurement
We visit the property, take accurate measurements, assess the existing subfloor condition, and discuss your material preferences. This step ensures the quotation is accurate and the right product is selected for your space.

Floor Preparation
Subfloor preparation is done before installation - including leveling, cleaning, and moisture barrier application where required. This step directly affects how the floor performs long term.

Vinyl Flooring Installation
We install using the correct method for the product and surface - click lock system, glue down vinyl, or overlay - with clean finishing at edges, doorways, and transition strips.

Final Inspection and Handover
Once installation is complete, we inspect the finished floor with you, address any concerns on the spot, and walk you through basic care and maintenance before handover.
why choose us
Why Choose MH Construction
Quality Workmanship and Warranty
Every installation we complete is covered by a workmanship warranty. This covers installation-related issues – lifting, gapping at joints, visible seam problems, or edge failures that result from how the floor was fitted, not from product defects or customer misuse.
It is worth understanding the difference between workmanship warranty and material warranty. Workmanship warranty covers the installation. Material warranty is provided by the flooring manufacturer and covers product defects. Both apply to your project, but they cover different things.
If you notice an installation-related issue after handover, contact us. We assess it, take responsibility where the issue is our workmanship, and resolve it without unnecessary delay. We do not tell customers that a problem is normal or unavoidable when it is not.
What the warranty does not cover: physical damage from impact or dragging of furniture, flooding or water ingress from building defects, subfloor movement outside of normal settling, or product wear within the expected range over time.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Vinyl flooring is a synthetic flooring material made primarily from polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It is produced in plank, tile, and sheet formats, and is designed to replicate the appearance of natural materials like timber and stone. Modern vinyl flooring includes a protective wear layer that resists scratches, stains, and moisture, making it one of the most practical flooring options available for both residential and commercial use in Singapore.
Vinyl flooring cannot be sanded or refinished like hardwood, so heavily worn sections usually need replacing rather than restoring. Lower-quality products have thin wear layers that scratch and scuff more easily. Direct exposure to very sharp objects or heavy, dragged furniture can cause damage. Vinyl is also sensitive to extreme heat, so direct sunlight through windows or underfloor heating systems need to be considered when selecting a product.
For Singapore's climate, vinyl flooring generally performs better than laminate. Vinyl is fully waterproof and moisture resistant, while laminate is vulnerable to swelling and damage from water exposure. Vinyl is also softer underfoot and quieter to walk on. Laminate can look more realistic at the premium end, but modern luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and LVT have significantly closed this gap. For wet areas or high-humidity environments, vinyl is the more reliable choice.
Vinyl flooring cost in Singapore varies depending on the product type, thickness, wear layer, and installation method. Entry-level products start from around S$3–4 per square foot, while mid-range and premium SPC or LVT options can range from S$5–10 per square foot, including installation. Subfloor leveling, removal of existing flooring, or complex layouts may affect the final vinyl flooring price. We provide itemised quotations so you can see exactly what is included.
It depends on the application. Vinyl is warmer, quieter, and more comfortable underfoot than ceramic or porcelain tile. It is also easier to replace in sections if damaged. Tile is harder, more resistant to heat, and generally better for areas exposed to very high moisture or direct water. For living rooms, bedrooms, and offices, vinyl is often the preferred choice. For wet areas like bathrooms, both can work well, but waterproof vinyl flooring has become increasingly common in these spaces too.
Yes. Waterproof vinyl flooring is suitable for both kitchens and bathrooms. It does not absorb water, resists common household chemicals, and is easy to clean. The key is ensuring proper installation - particularly at edges and around fixtures - to prevent water from getting beneath the floor and affecting the subfloor. We pay attention to these details during installation.
With proper installation and regular basic maintenance, quality vinyl flooring typically lasts between 10 and 20 years in residential settings. Thicker products with a robust wear layer last longer, particularly in high-traffic areas. Commercial environments may see shorter lifespans depending on the intensity of use. The biggest factor affecting lifespan is usually installation quality, not just the product itself.
Most quality vinyl flooring products include a scratch-resistant wear layer, but the level of resistance depends on the wear layer thickness. Products with a 0.3mm wear layer handle light residential use. For active households or commercial spaces, a 0.5mm or thicker wear layer is more appropriate. Vinyl is not scratch-proof - sharp objects, grit tracked in from outside, and heavy furniture dragged across the surface can still cause damage.
A standard HDB flat or condo unit typically takes one to two days for installation, depending on floor area, existing floor condition, and the amount of subfloor preparation required. Larger landed homes or commercial spaces may take longer. We give you a realistic timeline during the site assessment, so you can plan accordingly.
Yes. A flat, stable subfloor is essential for any vinyl flooring installation. If the existing surface has dips, humps, or uneven areas, the floor will flex under foot traffic and the joints can open or crack over time. We carry out floor leveling as part of our preparation process where required. This step is not optional - skipping it to save time or cost is a common cause of premature floor failure.
